Hi to all members of 1+Many,

On my first article I've decided to give you an idea of what I'm about and in what way I can help you out. Subsequent articles will focus on specifics of each area which I hope will be able to take you to a place of heath and well being.

Krav Maga. The only field tested system of Self-Defence in the world!

It is a military system that requires soldiers to be highly proficient in the shortest possible time ready for the battlefield. It has the steepest learning curve of any martial art and is the only self defence system used by the IDF Special Forces Unit and is adopted by the FBI, SWAT, NYPD, The United States Special Operations Forces and International Coast guard to name a few. It is based around ones instinctual movements, fine tuning them into devastatingly powerful moves! If you’ve seen the ‘Bourne Identity, Bourne Supremacy, Bourne Ultimatum, you’ll have a good idea of what we’re talking about. Born out of necessity to survive not recreational pursuits!

OK!!! Lets break this down and make it simple.

We all know that genetics play a major part in ones physical make up.

Its not just height, hair colour and eyes that affect our appearance. Ones build, muscle symmetry, metabolism, receptiveness to exercise are all programmed into our genes.

Some will find it very easy to drop weight whilst others will struggle to add a few pounds.

Its not just our fingerprints that make us unique!

For those that have previously taken up working-out and walked away disheartened, you’re not alone! Loosing a few inches around the hips and thighs or trying to add a few inches to your chest and arms, we all have our goals and very often one feels that results just aren’t proportional to the amount of time and effort spent.

NOW! We’re not at the stage where we’re able to manipulate our genes to get that body beautiful by simply getting through buckets of fried chicken and doughnuts. We can however follow a tailored personal prescription for health and wellbeing that covers diet, nutrition, a customised exercise regime and supplementation advice to achieve that goal quickly and safely!

We are all unique and this necessitates a programme that takes into consideration our genetic make up as well as factors such as age, limitations due to injuries, time, ability, attention span, medical background and other sporting interests, etc. The list covers every aspect of an individuals lifestyle and character and this is part of the consultation process that’s used to asses and create an individuals prescription for health and well being.

I am Licensed by the International Krav Maga Federation and registered by the British Combat Association.

Apart from Self-Defence, Nutritional counselling, Supplementation, Diet Plans and Strength Coaching, I also design bespoke exercise equipment and have built gyms in Dubai, private yachts, Ibiza, Majorca, New York and London, though I am not allowed to disclose who my clients are!

Personal training

Joining Komie in this Fitness adventure is Lazaro. Lazaro is an experienced cuban sports teacher and coach for over 20 years.

His classes are powerful, fun and upbeat. An explosion of latin flavour!

A regular at body building competitions, teacher of body pump, spinning and personal trainer to famous flamenco dancer Carlos Acosta, among others.
